It was always hard to say goodbye to her parents, no matter how old she got. Kissing her mother on both cheeks, Femke finally pulled away and waved them goodbye as she stepped onto the train with her luggage. She was always thankful for those charms that let you expand the space of your luggage. It'd be hard to carry everything she wanted to otherwise. Though she hadn't quite figured how to make it a bit less... heavy.
She had to resort to using a hovering charm to carry it up the steps, walking into a nearby compartment only to find it empty. Femke wasn't too worried though, she'd likely be joined by others soon enough. She floated her luggage up to the rack above-head and with that done sat down on a seat. Sighing to herself, she thought about Antonio and Lovino, her old school friends and in the case of the latter her ex-boyfriend. The last time she'd seen Lovino it had been... on slightly awkward terms. She had broken up with him because she realized he didn't like her as much as he liked someone else and they had drifted apart afterwords.
She wondered when she would see them. Going to the same university it was inevitable they would run into each other eventually, but as for when? Only time would tell.

Riding the train was not one of Lovino's favorite experiences about going to this damn school, and the fact it was insisted upon by the school itself made him like it even less. It was crowded and loud and the ride took for-fucking-ever. When he rode with his fratello last year, it was nice to catch up with his twin but once he'd had his fill of the other blathering at him, he still had hours more to endure of it. Not. Fun.
This year however, was a little different. Since he'd run into his oldest friend, Antonio, last year, (It hadn't really been a run in. The stupid Spaniard pounced him the day he was sorted.) he'd fallen into old routines with the boy. One of which they did even during and, perhaps especially because of, the year transition between Lovino being in his final year of grade school and Antonio being a first year in University. Spending a bit of the summer in Spain, Antonio's home country, on the farm run by the pureblood's nonno, a kind, hardworking but life loving old man. Not to mention pleasantly not obnoxious like his own grandfather. Although, the Spanish old man did know how to tease the Italian.
...BUT ANYWAY. On the train ride back from school at the end of the year prior, Lovino and Antonio has discussed when the Italian would visit for the summer, and after some arguing, they came to an agreement, that he would come at the end of the summer so they could head to London and board the train together. (Antonio's idea).
The Italian grit his teeth, his face flushing deep red. He found himself regretting agreeing to the whole thing as the older man was holding him uncomfortably close, arm wrapped tight around his waist (HIS WAIST!) to move them through the crowd. 'So we don't get separated!' he said. Lovino screamed and cursed at him, demanded to be put down and even landed a few good punches and elbow jabs on him, but did not manage to escape until they were both safely on the train. Yanking his luggage back from the Spaniard he fixed his clothes and growled menacingly at him, "You fucking do that again and I'm punching you in the damn kidney"
Having made his point clear, the Italian swallowed, trying to calm his senses, and moved down the train to look for an empty compartment. He only half glanced into one seemingly empty compartment but noticed with disappointment, a blonde inside and nearly moved on. Suddenly halting Lovino did a double-take when he realized he knew that blond. A giddy feeling ran through him and a smile graced his lips at the sight of the Belgian girl.
The past and all it's awkward hadn't completely caught up with him as he found himself opening the compartment door after a quick knock. "Femke?" He gut went suddenly cold as he did remember why they hadn't spoken in nearly a year, that 'reason' standing not even a foot away from him. Lovino's eyes darted from Femke to Antonio and back, a bit of panic flashing across his face. Shaking his head he chuckled, his voice wavering lightly, "H-hey. How's it going?"

Glancing around the muggle platform, Antonio stepped up next to Lovino and wrapped his arm around his waist. He leaned toward him like he was going to say something and casually led them through the barrier. Instead of removing his arm from around the bristling Italian once they were through he tightened it and charmed both their trunks to follow them through the crowd. He laughingly brushed off the annoyed man’s attempts to escape him, used to working around Lovino’s pointy elbows and sharp tongue.
When they got to the train he let the adorable Italian escape him and regain control of his own trunk. Antonio followed Lovino, eyes straying down his back and jerking up again when the other man stopped and opened up a compartment.
“Femke? H-hey how’s it going?”
Antonio’s face lit up at the familiar name and he hurried forward, hearding Lovino into the compartment and pulling their luggage in as well before closing the door. “Femke! Hola chica, how are you doing? Dios mio, I haven’t seen you in what, two years? You’re as beautiful as ever!” He absently flicked his wand, directing their things to the overhead rack and swooping down to hug the Belgian.

Femke heard Lovino's voice first, turning her head in surprise to find herself seeing him in the doorway. She smiled when she saw him, it waning a bit when she saw him freeze in place. For a minute it felt like she could cut the tension with a knife. Luckily for them both, Antonio barged in with his usual oblivious and happy style, effortlessly breaking the mood making her smile genuinely as they hugged. She really had missed him too.
When he pulled away Femke grinned at him. "It's so good to see you Antonio! Two years? God, it's been way too long." She turned to look at Lovino and smiled more gently. "It's good to see you to Lovino, I missed both of you a lot after you left." She realized suddenly she had her side bag sitting next to her taking up a lot of the sitting space so quickly placed it in her lap.
"Sit down, sit down! I want to hear all about what you two have been doing and what Hogwart's like." Femke was a little nervous as to how Lovino would take seeing her again, but she was prepared for whatever, even if he choose to ignore her she would understand. She was just happy to see him again.
