In the South Tower sat a decent sized room, that was just to the left of several small classrooms. A nicely decorated door was left wide open and lead into a circular room, and on the opposite side was an archway leading into a solarium and outside garden. The room itself was set up as such: a small table with one chair, six in row with three rows in all. Ivy plants and hanging pots with enchanted incensed candles were on the walls. Moving stained glass windows showed scenes of the Egyptian creation story. In the center sat a larger table with papers, scrolls, books and a few statues, with the professor in the center, writing a few things on the board.
"HERBOLOGY: Plants are Friends and Food!"
Nephthys was excited but no one would ever know it from the expression on her face. It was still and calm, with no expression of a smile but her eyes showed controlled excitement. Brushing the chalk off her hands, she grabbed the long bottom of her chiffon and headed back to her desk; twirling her wand a bit.

Ludwig tended to turn up early for class, and that went doubly so for the first week or two of school. He genuinely liked learning, and until the start-of-term high wore off and the drudgery of near constant homework sank in, his spirits remained light and he found himself occasionally arriving in classrooms before the professors themselves had shown up. Luckily, at the moment, that hadn't been the case: he could hear some movement from inside the Herbology room that didn't bear the rustling noises of an excitable plant, and the door was open. The third-year promptly stepped inside.
In winter, the Herbology classroom could be unbearably cold, attached directly to a greenhouse and outdoor garden as it was. Right now in the beginning of fall, though, the room felt airy and pleasant, even more so since only Professor Hassan was there. Ludwig dipped his head in greeting and offered the teacher a polite "hello, good to see you again" before selecting a chair in the first row of desks and depositing his book bag there. He reached inside to remove parchment and ink, but hesitated. Perhaps this would be a lesson where writing wouldn't be needed? Oh, well -- he had time to figure that out. Abandoning his book bag for now, Ludwig decided to take a look around the classroom and solarium instead, appreciating the peace while it lasted.

Looking straightforward at the sound of hearing the door open, the smile that graced Nephthys's face was soft and polite. Giving a nice wave to the young man, she offered him a greeting in response. "Hello Ludwig. It is good to see you again as well. How are you doing, excited to learn?" She asked him as well.
She had worked to figure out the best way to make the classroom comfortable, and the best part of the classroom was that it was charm to stay fresh and clean and airy throughout the entire academic year. Nephthys had looked to the small clock on the desk and shook her head, there was still time before class was going to start.
"I ask this to all the students, but is there something in particular that you'd like to go over or learn something new?"

Ludwig felt proud that the Herbology teacher had remembered his name; he'd obviously continued to make an impression all throughout last year. Or maybe Professor Hassan just had a good memory. But Ludwig liked to think it was the former. He didn't appreciate being forgotten. "I'm doing well," he replied, turning around from gazing out into the solarium, "and yes, of course. I wouldn't be here otherwise. How are you, Professor?"
Wandering back towards the classroom part of the area, Ludwig leaned against a desk and folded his arms. What he'd like to learn this year? That was a hard question to answer. He felt certain he'd learn something new regardless, and he couldn't very well predict what the professor had planned to teach. Still, Herbology wasn't his strongest subject. "Maybe if there's a good way to lay out a garden plot for magical plants?" he asked after a moment. "I tried growing some things at my house this summer but a lot of the plants withered." Ludwig didn't have munch of a green thumb to begin with, and magical plants could be notoriously delicate.

Nephthys could swear that she heard the wheels going around in his head and paused to listen to the young man's answer with clarity. She knew that most students had a hard time in dealing with plants, seeds, and trees of the magical variety and could set up practice time with not magical plants if the practice was needed.
"I shall be showing an easier way of setting up a garden and a small trick that learned over time in dealing with various types of plants" She said, giving the young man a small smile at hearing his attempts. "By the time that this class is done, you shall have the ability to keep plants alive in any sort of garden you choose to cultivate, and you might even learn to grow vegetables. Everything will be done to extreme precision and perfection"
She was a good gardener and even better herbologist, and her students will be able to reach satisfactory levels by the time they either choose to advance to Advanced or feel that it was enough for them.

Lili had prepared for this class with great excitement. Herbology! She'd get to learn more about plants and how to properly care for them, and what sorts of plants were good and which were not and -- but she had to stop herself. She couldn't get carried away with expectations and hopes... it was Herbology, and she didn't know that the Professor would go over every single little thing. Of course... it was Professor Hassan... so maybe? A-and if nothing else, her Housemates had assured Lili that Professor Hassan was always willing to listen... so maybe... m-maybe Lili could ask her questions before or after class?
As the timid blonde peeked into the classroom (noting that she seemed to be rather more early than most of her classmates), she was surprised to see her cousin there. That surprise was quickly replaced by a sense of contentment and ease. If Luddy was here, then Lili had nothing to worry about. Still... it was a moment before she entered, holding the strap of her bag with her hands. "H-Hallo, Professor Hassan... Hallo, Ludwig..." Would it be too forward of her to assume her cousin would want her sitting near him? She wasn't sure... so she'd hold off selecting her seat for a minute or so. She wouldn't blame him if he would rather sit with his friends, than worry about sitting near her all term.

Turning around to see another young woman enter the room, Nephthys couldn't help but feel a little pride build up in her at seeing one of her claws entering the classroom. She recognized who the young woman was and smiled, waving her into the classroom.
"Hello Lili, how are you? Come in, please sit where you will find yourself comfortable" she said and let the young woman feel comfortable in her classroom. "Now, as I told Ludwig earlier, if you have any questions feel free to ask before and after class that you wish to not ask in front of other students if you feel any sort of discomfort. My door is always open to my students"
Taking a glance around the room, she noted that she'd have to clear up a few of her potted flowers soon. A good herbologist kept a clean and lovely garden at all times for everything they would ever need.
