Personality: There is a certain grace that he has, with eloquent speech or the dignity he seems to hold while he walks somewhere. Most of the time when he speaks, he has a distant tone, one that is sort of aloof, which can cause others to feel uncomfortable and as though they are not as good as him. Because of this, he does not have many friends. There are times though that Roderich seems to not fit that noble attitude, especially in fear or anger. Oftentimes, simple mistakes, such as someone asking a stupid question or giving a stupid answer. However, when people treat him poorly or undermine the Austrian boy, he can go straight into a violent rage. When this rage occurs though, almost always he will go and play Chopin to express his anger, with something maybe like Étude Op. 10, No. 12, Revolutionary. But when he is not able to play to release that anger that is pent up inside of him, he just bursts and usually yells at whoever is the closest person near him, making them just a victim. This, since he can have a fairly short fuse to start with, again causes people to maintain their distance from the man. When it comes to fear though, there is again, a totally different side of Roderich that very few, if any have ever seen. There are simple things, such as Elizaveta’s frying pan (he’s seen it in action on Gilbert, so anyone would be afraid of that thing) to his fear of things such as the beach with marine life. Normally he’ll just start shaking (like Raivis, poor thing), eventually some tears will come, and he may end up screaming a bit like a girl. Nobody really knows why exactly he acts like this when he’s afraid, other than perhaps it was what he got used to as a small child.
Pet?: A male Nebelung named “Amadeus.”
Background: A loving Reinhard Joseph von Edelstein, a man who used his magic to create a large instrument-making corporation, along with and his lovely wife Marie Wallenstein von Edelstein, raised Roderich. Roderich was raised around magic, and taught that it was all right to use it to make money and provide for your family, so long as you did not abuse that power. He was later sent to study at Durmstrang’s and focused mainly on transfiguration and runes, thinking he was going to make some sort of career out of it. But Roderich’s heart still resided with music, and later on decided to set his heart on composing and performing. He is a prodigy on piano and violin. Now he plans on furthering his education to get a better grasp on his magic, before going out into the world.
Relations with other characters: Stays mostly to himself unless he really gets to know people. He does know people’s names though, and can hold a conversation with most people, he just feels like talking to others is a waste of time. I’m going to assume that later on there might be something pertaining to Gilbert and Elizaveta, but I won’t edit this until I actually have something to work on.

When was high school ever not hell for a student?
It was hell always for Roderich. Known as being the only openly "gay" student on the campus, he was constantly teased for it all. There were constant insults thrown at him, continuous pranks played on him, and even threats of violence and beatings were sent or said to him. And while he was all very well used to this, there was nothing showing surprise on his face as his locker today was filled with letters of fake proposals of being gay as well and loving him, of notes stating threats such as “I’m going to tell your parents” or “I’m going to beat the gay right out of you.” Honestly, these people just acted utterly barbaric.
It was why he really dreamt of just leaving. Going back home to Austria and living with his mother, rather than being stuck with some horrible father that hardly seemed to care about him. Not that the dream would really become true.
Thankfully, his only glint of hope surviving high school was how he was a senior: class of 2013. He would be graduating (with honors of course), and getting away from the hellhole of high school, along with home. In fact, Roderich had already applied to a fair few colleges that were fairly prestigious in their music departments, and was hoping that he’d at least be accepted into the schools he’d wish to attend. Then he would finally be able to make a decision on which school he may wish to attend and end up with the degree in classical composition he so dearly wanted. As if any of the idiots in his school had such brilliant plans as he did.
For now however, he would have to resort to surviving the mandatory history class that he was now sitting in. Not that he entirely cared for history, but he was thankful enough that it was European history. Perhaps learning about his homelands provided him some comfort and feeling of acceptance, unlike here in the states.
